Our team won at Majosi SE thanks to a goal from substitute Gergely Bobál.
Vidi stepped onto the pitch on Wednesday afternoon at the home of NB III side Majosi SE in Bonyhád, aiming to reach the last 16 of the MOL Hungarian Cup. Despite the less than fan-friendly kick-off time, our supporters once again turned out in large numbers to accompany our team on their away trip, with around 200 cheering on Vidi from the visitors' section. Head coach Gábor Boér selected the following starting eleven: Nagy G., Kocsis G., Papp, Spandler, Kovács K., Tiefenbach, Ominger, Bedi, Kocsis B., Dékei, and Németh.

The first half saw few chances, with the home side recording two shots over the bar in the opening quarter of an hour. In the 23rd minute, Ominger's header was saved by the home team's goalkeeper, and in the 40th minute, he shot at goal from a rebound, but missed the bottom left corner, so the first half ended 0-0.
During the break, we made two substitutions, with Bobál and Tóth replacing Krisztián Kovács and Dékei. The first chance was for Majos, with Nagy saving Angyal's shot from the left. Five minutes later, however, we took the lead when Bobál curled the ball into the top corner from the left (0-1)! In the 64th minute, Papp's header went wide after a corner from the left, then in the 82nd minute, Hatvani broke through our defense, but Nagy blocked his shot. In the 85th minute, Dávid got on the end of a cross from the left, but he couldn't find the target. At the start of injury time, Marosi had a chance, but Nagy was able to save his shot from the left. Our team won the match 1-0 and advanced to the next round. The draw for the next round (scheduled for February 2026) will be held on Thursday evening at 10:10 p.m. on M4 Sport's live broadcast.
