MATCH REPORT

Two-goal victory against Békéscsaba

Goals from Varga, who converted a penalty, and then Dékei, who had also come on as a substitute, scored a good goal to make it 2-0.

Head coach Gábor Boér made several changes to the starting lineup compared to the last game against Kecskemét. However, at the last minute, he had to make another forced change when Patrik Kovács was injured during the warm-up, and he was replaced by Dániel Bertók, who made his first start. The following eleven players took to the pitch against Békéscsaba: Nagy - Kojnok, Murka, Spandler, Horváth T. - Kocsis G., Bedi, Ominger, Varga R. - Bertók, Kálnoki-Kis.

The match began with corners for Békéscsaba, but these did not produce any danger. We also had corners later on, but these too posed no threat, just as Bedi's long-range shot in the 9th minute caused no problems for the visitors.

We had to wait 27 minutes for the first serious chance, when Pósernak had to make a good save from Varga's long-range free kick. We got the rebound and managed to pass the ball to Bertók, but our striker was unable to turn towards goal as he was fouled, and Karakó pointed decisively to the penalty spot. Varga converted the penalty into the top right corner (1-0).

At the beginning of the second half, Bertók was brought down inside the box by a Békéscsaba defender after a nice move, but this time the referee's whistle remained silent. In the 53rd minute, Kojnok broke forward and shot with his left foot from 18 meters, but the ball went wide of the goal. At the other end, Ésik missed a great chance, so our one-goal lead remained intact.

In the 65th minute, Székesfehérvár-born Kevin Balla, who had previously played for Vidi II, came on as a substitute and found himself in a promising position, but his shot from a sharp angle was blocked by one of his teammates.

In the 70th minute, Dániel Bertók was injured and replaced by Milán Virágh. Our young player, who has been training at Videoton since he was 15, made his debut in the NB II today. Shortly afterwards, we managed to increase our lead. Márk Dékei, who also came on as a substitute, scored a very good goal from distance, and Póser dived in vain, unable to save the superb long-range shot (2-0).
