Gábor Boér and Zoltán Gera gave their thoughts on Monday evening's league match, which ended in a 3-1 home victory.
Gábor Boér:
“We performed disastrously in the first half, which is I cannot understand at the moment, because there were no signs of this during the week. Recently, I felt that we were making progress week by week, day by day, but today we were completely off our game, coming out badly in almost every duel. Kecskemét took advantage of this and deservedly scored two goals before the break. At halftime, we tried to make changes to give the team stability and new momentum. This was only partially successful; we became more stable, but this was also due to KTE's more passive play. However, when we had the opportunity to close the gap on our opponents, we made bad decisions and chose the wrong solutions, one of which led to our opponents scoring their third goal. Congratulations to Kecskemét!
Zoltán Gera:
“Congratulations to the team, our players played brilliantly. We set a fast pace in the first half and created many chances; the score could have been even higher. Before the second half, we expected our opponents to change their tactics and come out more aggressively, and we did find ourselves under pressure for a while, conceding a consolation goal, but we responded positively and continued to create chances. When we scored the third goal, the match was decided, and we still had attacks that could have resulted in goals. I am satisfied with the result; the team played well. Of course, there are still mistakes, but it is much easier to correct them this way than when the team suffers a series of failures.
