In the second part of the first half, there was little danger in front of either goal, with the game dominated by midfield battles. The second half started with a dangerous shot from Varga, but his 18-meter strike missed the bottom right corner. In the 54th minute, Németh connected to shoot from Varga's cross into the goal from close range, but the linesman signaled that Varga was offside when he received the ball, so the referee disallowed the goal. Our dominance paid off in the 61st minute when, following a corner kick, our captain, Csaba Spandler, found the back of the Szentlőrinc net (2-0).
