The first opportunity came for the visitors, with our goalkeeper, Botond Kemenes, saving two shots, the second coming from Birnoi from close range. However, Vidi went forward and took the lead in the 12th minute with a beautiful goal: Kálnoki-Kis shot from 18 meters, after the ball bounced in front of him and it flew into the top right corner (1-0). In the summer heat, there was a water break during the match, and in the 30th minute, Tamás Horváth made a dangerous run down the left and sent a cross to the goalkeeper. The visitors tried with two shots as the half drew to a close, but it was us who had the better chance: Bence Kovács curled the ball behind the defenders to the right, and Milán Papp's shot flew past the far post, leaving us with a one-goal lead at the break.
Before the half time whislte, we made two substitutions, with Kecskés and Tóth M. replacing Horváth T. and Dékei. It didn't take long for Videoton to score again, with Patrik Kovács doubling our lead with a close-range shot (2-0). The second half was mainly played in the middle of the pitch, with neither side posing much of a threat on goal from shots or corners. In the 68th minute, our new striker Roland Varga, who signed this week, made his debut for Vidi, replacing Patrik Kovács. Two minutes later, Kemenes made a fine save from a shot by substitute Trif, but the rest of the match passed without any real chances.
Our team remains unbeaten in the friendly matches, with four wins and one draw in five games, conceding only one goal against BVSC-Zugló.
